The National Democratic Congress joins the rest of our Caribbean family in paying tribute to the life’s work of Gordon “Butch” Stewart.

After a lapse of four days, two releases from WRB Enterprises and widespread condemnation on Government’s handling of the matter, Government has only just broken its silence on what WRB Enterprises has confirmed. Government has re-purchased the shares sold to WRB in 1994, for US$63,000,000.00 (EC$170,100,000.00).

The nation is aware that the Government of Grenada lost the case against WRB with respect to the repurchase of the GRENLEC shares.

We of the National Democratic Congress express our empathy and solitary with the families who are tonight, in dire straits as the impact of disastrous Covid-19 policies impacts them in their living and bedrooms.

The National Democratic Congress has received reliable information that there is a Covid-19 outbreak at a hotel at the south of the island, with possible community spread and prospects of difficulty in contact tracing.
