The National Democratic Congress joins with Lady Norma Glean, his family, relatives and friends, and indeed with the entire nation, in mourning the death of Sir Carlyle Arnold Glean, GCMG who served as Governor-General of Grenada from 2008 to 2013.
Before retiring from politics in 1995, Sir Carlyle was the Minister of Education in the NDC administration of Sir Nicholas Brathwaite from 1990 to 1995 in which he served with distinction.
A gentleman and a scholar, a family man and a devout Christian, Sir Carlyle was an outstanding and proud son of Gouyave and Grenada and will be greatly missed.
On behalf of the NDC family and indeed the People of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, we extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
