The NDC joins with the rest of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique in paying homage to Mr. Elvin G. Nimrod late, who served as the Member of Parliament for the Constituency of Carriacou and Petit Martinique for over 20 years. Mr. Nimrod also served as Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General at various periods during his tenure as MP. NDC invites the people of Grenada to join us in expressing heartfelt condolences to Mr. Nimrod’s wife and family.
Although we in the NDC serve our country from a different political perspective than he did, the sentiments that Mr. Nimrod was professional, compassionate and understanding in executing his duties, are unanimous. We anticipate that he will be awarded the farewell befitting of someone who served our country in the capacities that he did. May his soul rest in peace.
The NDC also takes this opportunity to express deepest condolences to the Honorable Tobias Clement, the Opposition Leader, and his family, on the passing of his dear mother. We ask Honorable Tobias Clement to remain strong in this no doubt, very difficult time, and let the passing of his mother be motivation for him to continue his struggle to one day leave behind a better Grenada for future generations. May her soul rest in peace.
