On behalf of the National Executive Council and membership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and indeed the people of Grenada, I extend heartiest congratulations and best wishes to you, Dr. Keith Christopher Rowley, on your re-election as Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The NDC also extends similar sentiments to your party, the People’s National Movement (PNM) on its victory at the General Elections held on August 10th, 2020.
Based on our observations, it was indeed a different campaign. The use of the virtual platform was new and added a unique dynamic to an already robust and grounded PNM team. The sharp focus and hard work of your campaign team were, no doubt vital to your success.
We also note the special relationship between the peoples of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada, which is often underscored by strong family ties and unbreakable bonds of friendship. This victory will reinforce those ties. We look forward to increased cooperation and bonding between our parties.
We recognize that the road ahead will be challenging due to the Global Pandemic Covid-19. However, with your victory, this journey will be a continuation, and we are confident that your team is up to the task and will rise to the occasion.
